    Thanks, this helped me.
I was trying to decide which platform to use and can agree, Shopify is far easier to get up and running quickly while WooCommerce is cheaper with more DIY.
Also, it was nice seeing SA currency at 1:29 :-).
    Thanks for the video.

Already opened many shopify websites, but now I consider switching to woocomerce because of the freedom, low fees for multiple sites and especially YOU OWN YOUR BUSINESS!

Can I start my ecommerce business on a cheap hosting site like namecheap then migrate to siteground when my business grows?

I have a Woocommerce store and my hosting provider is Dreamhost and I have a VPS (virtual Private Server) with 1 GB of RAM and 30 GB SSD. The SSL is free with the plan and they automatically update the SSL. I only pay $ 15.00 per month. I got all free plugins and most of them I did tweet the code. Only plugin I paid for was WP Rocket for caching, compression and minifying CSS and JS code. Overall I'm getting a steal with this plan.

I have a Woocommerce store and all I can say is it is way more superior than Shopify as you have total control over almost everything, and as I web developer myself developed my own extensions and plugins, etc. If you have knowledge in development, go with WooCommerce, it can save you alot.

Shopify is ideal for those who have little to no idea about web development and the only focus is to setup an ecommerce store.

Good video but I think all of these videos are forgetting 1 major and main issue- if you already have a website and pay for hosting, and ana SSL ….WooCommerce is free. Shopify looks great if you have nothing and are just starting out because you are paying them $29 from day 1 and then you ont really need to pay for separate hosting and separate SLL.

Can anyone tell me if its still beneficial to have an established website that you already pay for and SLL cert and hosting to STILL use Shopify and add on a minimum $29/ mo on top of everything else ? Thanks

My budget is $0, which should I go with? (I’ve already researched how to advertise with no money) I have a couple hundred dollars to fulfill orders, but other than that I don’t want to spend money, as I’m saving up at the moment.
