Hey travis , If I use a good hosting like aws for hosting and cdn will my woocommerce website be safe ? I expect high traffic rates so I'm just concerned and I just love the theme that I bought for woocommerce.

Travis one big pro on WOO is the flexibility for wholesale sites. Shopify is GREAT for simple b to c, but it's difficult with customizations and needs of the wholesale business.

For the UK Stripe only takes a 1.4% + 30p for European cards and 2.9% + 30p for none when PayPal does 2.9% (Gibraltar, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey & United Kingdom (UK)) + their fixed fee and goes to 3.4% for Any other relevant country/territory, making PayPal more expensive.

What you need to mention in your video is that most apps for Shopify are charging monthly fees, where WooCommmerce is usually a "one-time" charge. Shopify apps from BOLD or Shogun are very expensive and they carefully set their plans up knowing what features most stores need which (of course) are the more expensive plans…not cool. I have been using Shopify for years and it's now getting ridiculous paying over $400 a month for some of my stores. WooCommerce is also bad, as you mention it's clunky and always has issues when you update plugins etc. It's time for an alternative platform that works and doesn't steal your money.

I have used Shopify, WooCommerce & BigCommerce and biggest factor for me is to know these platforms don't always play nice with you in the sandbox. The reason for that is payment gateway each uses. For example, Shopify uses Shopify payments as its payment processing thru Stripe. Stripe has some strict rules and it won't take much to get your account locked up. Big Commerce allows you to use your own payment gateway system without any transaction fees (shopify still charges you 2% transaction fee even if you use your own payment gateway). So what I tell people is if your selling something ultra safe like T-shirts shopify is way to go. If your selling ANY food items, health & beauty, outdoor supplies go with your own payment gateway on Big Commerce or WooCommerce (I know person who sold fishing tackle supplies on Shopify and has thriving business only to wake up one day and see payment system locked up because Stripe internal risk management dept considered his tackle supplies possible weapons and it wasn't worth risk to keep his business).

I recently use shopify right now for about 7 days, it's pretty good.
The only issue I have right now is when selling a product with monthly recurring payments subscription, with shopify apps they only accept braintree and stripe which is not available in UAE.
    ๐Ÿ˜ช๐Ÿ˜ช
I hope other platforms accept paypal directly for subscription. ๐Ÿ˜ช๐Ÿ˜ช๐Ÿ˜”

Is WordPress a blogging platform? No, It really is a full C.M.S

I can't believe people are still saying that WordPress is a blogging platform

maybe true 10 years ago! It's a bit like saying your butterfly is a caterpillar really these are two different things WordPress is really growing up the last 15 years. With the update and Gutenberg is certainly not a blogging platform. It really is a full CMS, Add Elementor Page Builder to it And you've got a serious contender! And says clunky and Compared with drupal and Joomla it's a breeze And besides WordPress got most of the lion's share of the market One-third of the internet you can't say that about Shopify, in the long run, Shopify is more expensive!

When added and with version 3.0, custom post types were added. With that feature, WordPress evolved into a CMS.

Throat in 1000โ€™s Themes/plugins of your choice pretty much do anything, You do custom post types Without touching a single line of code! straight form or page/plugin any kind of form or page you can think of.

The Zapier.com -Plugin to Zapier Woocommerce Here is Thousands of apps Are Compatible with WordPress and wooCommerce automation with Zapier.com Justin name a few, I really think you're showing your ignorance here to WordPress. If you think it's a blogging platform! what is really capable of a lot…, go to a hosting Provider! quick install 5 minutes it's up you ring the hosting provider that will do it for you Its strength is simplicity and flexibility.

When you add in a sale funnel, like cart flows-Plugin you can Create beautiful checkout pages & sales flows for WooCommerce. This will seriously up your game

I was told recently by some ignorance dentist that WordPress is not secure I told her in the last 15 years Iโ€™ve never been hacked by using common sense such as -Plugin like โ€œlimited loginโ€ plugin in a firewall plugin Put a serious password in And some common sense around security itโ€™s Secure alright Itโ€™s usually human beings putting in short passwords & The name: admin that screw it up. If you're not really comfortable with this whole internet business you really need to sit down and just do a little course on Skillshare.com or something like a udemy.com course. that just to bring you up to speed what's the day it's not really your thing just search YouTube for getting started with WordPress.Trusted by the Best
