Finally someone said it. Thank you. In my opinion the only pluggins you need are: 1) Wordfence security 2) Really Simple SSL thats it along with not making your photoshop images too big.

Somehow I missed writing a comment on this video šŸ™‚ I do like wordfence. We have people contact us who have not been active on their sites, not updating plugins, etc, and they get malware – we get requests for malware removal pretty often. We find Wordfence to be quite effective to keeping it at bay.

Nother great video with practical advice. Wish I had this a couple of months back when my site was running real slow. The number of plug-ins (Pre Acabado) was a big factor that slowed down speed for me.

I had a "professional" create a site for me because I wanted it to look a certain way. It worked well for a couple of years until it crashed. Turns out she made too many changes to the original theme and added too many plug ins. One update to one plug in just ruined it.

So I just found your channel and I've been binging as much as possible! I'm a wedding photographer and I host it on Showit. I know that with as many images as I have on my site that I need to use some sort of image compression. I was desperately trying to get Short Pixel loaded up, but I have "tier 2" account and not the high "tier 3" so the ability to upload my plugin of choice is not an option. Do you have any other image compression plugins? The only option I'm seeing when I search available plugins is Smush Pro that I'll have to pay for. Thoughts?

They're saying don't use a page builder, but most of the sites I've seen in their videos aren't very well designed. Take these things with a grain of salt, and choose your own path. These guys make great content, and know a lot; Just that sometimes UI/UX should be more of a priority for people. Which you just can't get with gutenberg, even with Qubely or other plugins.

WPMUDEV is something I can strongly recommend. I been a member myself for long time and they are really amazing. Not only will you get access to their plugins, website site management (Just like Manage WP), but their support chat staff is hidden gem itself and the real value of a WPMUDEV membership and they will help you with any WordPress related issue, and not just limited to their own products but far beyond that. They even help you with coding issues etc and I can tell they saved me tons of money that I otherwise would have spent on developers. They really go the extra mile to help with members with solving issues related to running a WordPress site which is one of the main reason I keep being a customer. They are easily by the my one got to place hub stop when I having issues of some sort with WordPress or just coding issues where there is something in my code etc that i cannot figure out and solve myself.
Use this link here to find out more: https://premium.wpmudev.org/?ref=dreamquest-423473
(Ye,s its a referral link. Click on if you like my suggestion. I dont make any money on you click the link. I just earn some member points šŸ™‚ ).

Well, what they are trying to say is don't use any other plugins rather than the three plugins they mention if you buy and use their Selling Acabado theme. This means if you are using other themes like beauty themes, divi, elegant themes, xtheme or any other theme then use plugins.

I can totally respect the opinions of these guys. You can hardly argue with 10+ years of experience. My only thought was on multi factor authentication provided by a security plugin by WordFence or your choice of security plugin.

I use Smush instead of Short Pixel. I also use the Astra theme with Elementor. WPCrafter has a lot of great info on themes and plugins. I also think we shouldn't get too worried about plugins and themes etc. I've let myself get so worked up about these things that I've wasted tones of my valuable time farting around with my website instead of writing content. Just focus on writing content.

I think I understand the BERT update now. Basically, Google understands its users better; according to where they live and so on.

For example: if you search "recipes for children" you will no longer get recipes for preparing children as a meal, but instead recipes that children can execute all on their own. I find this very useful and much less confusing.

For something like a custom meta description, or anything else that creates content, it's better to create your own site plugin. This way you can change the theme and that content is still available through the plugin.
