    """Redirect 301 http://launch.untruesounds.com http://untruesounds.com/launch""""

Hey Bjorn, what if you are migrating your website , and changing from WordPress to a different CMS (and from http to https)? Should you delete the permalink code for WordPress?

I was expecting a video showing me how to edit (as in coding) the
.htaccess file, not how to find and open it. If you have a video that
shows how to add a script to update the PHP version and showing what to
write to make the website work well. My website is out of WP and the
    code have just some lines:
    # Use PHP56
    AddHandler application/x-httpd-php56 .php.

My web site is unconfigured. I do not know what codes insert in the file
in order to make it configured again… Please, someone to help me?
    Thank you.

Ok, I am a bit confused. I have a client with a BRUTALLY BAD html website that wants us to design a completely new site on wordpress. But they want all of the old urls to stay the same. Do we then do a 301 redirect of the old url's to the new urls. The slug would be the same in the new as in the old but of course without the .html. I am very confused on this.

This process of moving an html site to a wordpress site has me very confused.

I'm trying to redirect a post into a new category and it is not working. Do I need to change the category in the post AND edit both the permalink and slug before I do this?

Hi Bjorn, I always head to WP Learning Lab when I have a website issue—you're a great pedagogue! I've been online [retail sales] since '97 and have amassed over 300 redirects in my .htaccess file w/no problems…so far.

My products change or go OOP quite regularly, plus I've changed many url titles [that were to short or poorly worded—according to Google] in hopes of getting better SEO results. What should I do to limit the Redirect 301 mess in my htaccess file? Thanks a BUNCH for the excellent vids!

    Sir,

    please help me.

I have a site that was developed in PHP, (www.domain.com).

I make a WP site in the subdomain (www.subdomain.domain.com)

Now I can not redirect some pages on subdomain.

    I'm trying to redirect this:

    http://www.domain.com/ipsum_dolor

    to this:

    http://www.subdomain.domain.com/ipsum_dolor

When I type this way, I get a mistake

    Redirect /ipsum_dolor https://subdomain.domain.com/ipsum_dolor
