I'd LOVE it if people would make videos on how to do stuff without relying on plugins to make it easy. We have too many plugins already.

Amazing tutorial! Thank you so much! I am new to SEO, so I just didn't understand the codes: /(.*)and $1, what do they mean? Do you have a list of those useful codes and their purposes to help this newbie here when redirecting? Thanks again!!!

Hi, I'm a Click Minded subscriber and need to understand how to 301 redirect old URL's from an ASP site to my new WordPress site. The domain will carry. The old domain is still active and the new site is being built on a temp domain before I update the DNS and migrate the domain to the new site. The issue is old /whatever-Keyphrase.asp will not exist in the new wordpress page. I don't want to lose the old SEO work. Please help.

Hey I will use 301 redirect technique after seeing your video but my domains is not index after 30 days and no results will appear can you please more guide me how I do now?

It seems that their is no need to delete the pages once you have redirected it. Will the old page still be indexed by Google (the page that is redirected)?

I love the video! Short question: If I want to change URLs for some pages, should I just edit them on the pages and then set redirects in the plugin?

Hi. Great video
Is it going to work if i migrate from WordPress.com to wordpress.org?
September 25, 2020 @ 1:22 pm
Thank you so much for creating this video! I'm a bit confused about changing the URL – e.g. If I have page "domain.com/red-flowers" and I want the new URL to be "domain.com/red" – do I just change the URL of the page (domain.com/red-flowers) and then create the redirect? Or, do I leave that page as it is, copy all the contents onto the new ""domain.com/red" page and then create the redirect? In the first scenario, I'm not creating a new page – just changing the URL.

I'm changing the permalink on my site to remove the date from all the URLs. Do I have to enter the URL for each individual post to redirect to the new one?
