Thank you for your video. I caught another one by chance the other day and subscribed. I might suggest putting a list underneath of the links to these pages you are demoing. It would be helpful. Also, I ran into one tutorial where the instructor showed how to slow down the YouTube video at the flower or gear setting That was quite helpful and long overdue for an old crunchy broad. Thank you again!

Pingdom keeps showing gzip isn't enabled on LiteSpeed servers when it is. At times it shows expires headers aren't set on LiteSpeed servers too. GTMetrix seems to be much more consistent than Pingdon, and closer in results to Google page speed.

I've done test on youtube before with sites that measure page size, and using the developer tool in FireFox Developer and Chrome, much different results in youtube size. The speed GTM shows for YT is closer to my actual loading time too.

I haven't used Web Page Test in some time, but in theory, it should work better. The last time I was there, I think FF34 was the newest version. They don't seem to keep browser versions updated regularly.

I'm more inclined to trust the waterfall at GTM more than anything else.
Thanks for all your videos, you have helped me, and I'm sure a lot of others, over the years 🙂

I never realized there were so many FREE online tools. Something I can afford! 😉 When you have the time, I would be interested in seeing how I could use generatewp.com and wp-hasty.com to avoid additional plugins. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the video Paul. Keep in mind that Photoshop CS2 is free for personal use. And even though is a an old program I think it has more features than a average user will need. Also there is Gimp witch is a free program to edit images.
For resizing I would suggest to try Picture resize. Free, easy, fast and bulk resize. http://www.rw-designer.com/picture-resize

Great information! I need to work on my website speed but after testing it with the free tools all I understand is that its slow – lol. Can you make a video that translates the findings and what to do about that?
